Duckhams, the original British lubricant brand since 1899, has been confirmed as the Official Oil Partner of West Surrey Racing (WSR) for the 2026 British Touring Car Championship.

GMP Sports brokered the technical partnership, bringing together two brands with long histories of success in British motorsport.

Duckhams and motorsports have been synonymous for over 125 years, with the brand winning alongside talented race teams and drivers. This legacy began with the land-speed record in 1948 and extends to numerous F1, BTCC, British GT and Formula Ford championships with celebrated figures of yesteryear like Colin Chapman, Ayrton Senna, James Hunt, John Surtees and more recent champions including Shaun Balfe, Adam Smalley and Daryl De Leon.

Duckhams lubricants will go into WSR’s BMW 330i M Sport cars for the full BTCC season. The brand will appear on the cars of Daryl De Leon, the reigning Jack Sears Trophy champion, and Charles Rainford, who took a maiden race win on only his second BTCC weekend last year as a rookie. Duckhams also receives garage branding, digital presence and co-branded activation rights.

Both brands have spent decades proving themselves at the sharp end of British motorsport. Duckhams oils have been trusted in race engines since the sport was finding its feet in this country; WSR has been running competitive cars in the BTCC since 1996. The partnership formalises a connection that, in many ways, was already there.

The 2026 BTCC season opened at Donington Park in April under revised technical regulations that have tightened the competitive order.

WSR’s BMW 330i M Sport cars will carry the Duckhams brand across the full calendar as Daryl and Charles push for race wins in what is shaping up to be a fiercely competitive year.

The partnership was brokered by GMP Sports, a sports sponsorship agency that works with brands and rights holders across motorsport.

David McLean, Duckhams Oils Chief Marketing Officer, said: “This new BTCC partnership brings Duckhams back to where it belongs: in a race car, on a British circuit, with a team that knows how to win. WSR run a tight, professional operation, and we’re looking forward to a successful season.”

Dick Bennetts, WSR founder and Team Principal, said: “Duckhams has been part of British motorsport for longer than most people in the paddock have been alive. The brand really means something to engineers. Our team knows the history, trusts the product, and believes that having Duckhams in the cars is the right fit. We’re glad to have them with us for what we think will be a strong season.”
