WSR are delighted to announce that Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport and Jake Hill will contest the 2024 British Touring Car Championship together with the multiple title-winning team following an ultra-successful campaign this year.

Jake is the first driver announced to race the team’s hybrid touring car next season following a third-place finish in the 2023 standings with 12 podium finishes and a career-high six wins.

The 29-year-old from Kent, who has 12 career wins and 43 podiums to his name, has firmly established himself as a title challenger since he and MB Motorsport partnered with WSR for the 2022 season.

He is now primed for a third consecutive campaign with the team from Sunbury-on-Thames, who have won 16 outright BTCC titles.

The 2024 BTCC begins at Donington Park on April 27-28 and comprises 10 rounds at eight venues with every one of the 30 races broadcast live on ITV4.

Jake Hill said: “It is amazing to have everything lined up for 2024 already. This is the earliest I have ever managed to pull everything together and my thanks go out to everyone at Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for making another year together possible again. The combination of Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport and WSR proved to be a winning one last time out and I am encouraged with all the work going on behind-the-scenes that we can go even better in 2024. It’s a big year for everyone at Laser Tools Racing as they celebrate 10 years in the BTCC so it’s a privilege to be the one chosen to represent them in 2024. Rest assured me and the whole team will be giving it our all to make it a year to remember for everyone.”

Dick Bennetts, Team Principal, said: “We’re very pleased to extend our partnership with Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for another year and to have Jake Hill once again behind the wheel. Over the past two seasons he has proven himself to be one of the most skilled and committed drivers in the field and been a regular race winner and podium finisher, while our relationship with Mark Blundell and MB Motorsport has gone from strength to strength. We have very high hopes for what can be achieved together in 2024.”

Mark Blundell, Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Sporting Director, said: “Anyone who knows the BTCC knows just how important continuity and stability are in delivering a winning operation on and off the track. It’s fantastic to bring everything together so that everyone can focus on the task at hand and raise our standards into 2024. Jake had a great season in 2023 – his pace is clear for all to see and we know we have learnt some lessons which we can put to good effect next season to make us even stronger. We are also delighted to be continuing to work with WSR. We have really enjoyed two years of success together so far and I know how motivated everyone is to go even better in 2024.”
