WSR FlexiFly returned to the British GT Championship podium at Snetterton with a ‘zero-to hero’ team performance.
On the back foot after an incident on Friday, the team worked into the early hours of Saturday morning to repair the damaged BMW M4 GT4 Evo and were rewarded with the best weekend yet from Ernie Graham and Colin Turkington.
The Friday incident happened at the Esses and caused front-end and underside damage to the BMW, but once rectified, the results were impressive.
Four-time British Touring Car champion Colin set the overall GT4 pace in pre-qualifying and then qualified third in the Pro-Am category – the best result for WSR FlexiFly in their rookie season in GT racing.
With Ernie putting the #61 BMW fifth on the grid for Race 1, things were already looking up, and when the former European Historic Rally champion ended his stint in fourth, it was even more so.
The baton then fell to Colin to chase down a podium result, which he did, taking third in Pro-Am towards the finish as he and Ernie collected their second podium of 2026.
A tight second race led to a fourth-place finish, a result that helped deliver the team’s biggest points haul of the season and puts them sixth in the points.
The next event takes place at Donington Park on September 5-6.
Ernie Graham: “A good weekend of racing. I’m really pleased to get on the podium in the first race. In the second race I thought we might have got another, but there was a guy in an Aston Martin who was a little bit too fast for me and he got by at Turn One, but we got home safe and sound.”
Colin Turkington: It’s been a really good weekend. The goal was to get back on the podium here and we did it with third in Race One. Ernie was doing his best to hang on for another in Race Two and we nearly repeated it, but the Aston just got us at the end, so a very credible fourth place.”
