The Workshop
The heart of the WSR premises is the 10,000 sq ft workshop. It has an enviable range of equipment for the engineers and mechanics to use during the preparation of race cars. By employing specialist highly skilled labour, WSR's in-house state of the art Chassis Fabrication Shop is experienced in the complete build of tubular frame race car chassis. We also have an in-house Torsion Test Rig, which can determine a chassis' torsional stiffness. Finite Element Analysis techniques are used to optimise the overall strength and weight / stiffness ratio and WSR uses state of the art 2D & 3D CAD systems and can work with clients in their own required language. The CAE capacity is extensive, including Finite Element analysis, structural dynamics and refinement studies. |
